I started Lavender Integrative Psychiatry because I believe that getting better psychiatric care should not require choosing between scientific rigor and being treated as a whole person. Here, you do not have to choose. My work is grounded in careful listening, thoughtful assessment, and a commitment to understanding the layers beneath symptoms. Psychiatric care is not simply about prescriptions, it is about context, nervous system health, lived experience, and sustainable change. I approach each patient relationship with steadiness and curiosity, creating space for clarity, collaboration, and meaningful progress. Integrative psychiatry means honoring science while also recognizing that healing does not happen in isolation from relationships, habits, belief systems, and meaning. Medication can be powerful, but it is rarely the whole story.

Background

My journey into psychiatric nursing stems from a deep belief that mental health is foundational to overall wellness and quality of life.

My training spans primary care, psychiatry, and addiction medicine. What shaped my clinical perspective most was learning across contexts: practicing in international settings, studying contemplative approaches to mental health alongside evidence based medicine, and working in environments where people came to care with complex, layered needs.

That breadth matters in practice. When someone walks in with depression intertwined with grief, chronic illness, and years of unprocessed stress, a narrow lens misses most of the picture. My training helps me hold the full picture and work from it.

Psychiatric & Primary Care

Foundation in both primary care and psychiatric nursing, with advanced certification as a PMHNP.

Addiction Medicine

Training in addiction medicine that informs a non judgmental, integrated approach to co occurring conditions.

Contemplative & International Study

International clinical experience and contemplative training that offer a broader, more human lens on care.

Clinical Approach

Every new patient relationship begins with a comprehensive evaluation that I take my time with. I want to understand not just your symptoms, but their context, your history, your relationships, what has helped, what has not, and what you are hoping for from care.

From there, we develop a comprehensive treatment plan together. This plan may include a medication strategy, a lifestyle component, and a psychotherapy informed approach. Medication management is evidence-based and tailored to you, taking into account your genetic profile (when available), your unique responses to past medication trials, and additional treatment options that may enhance your regimen. I carefully review the risks, benefits, safety considerations, and monitoring needs associated with any medication plan, coordinating as appropriate with other providers involved in your care. In addition to medication management, we address lifestyle goals and overall well being. I bring a psychotherapeutic lens to all of my work, meaning we explore deeper patterns, thoughts, emotions, behaviors, habits, beliefs, values, and sense of purpose, as well as the underlying contributors to your current symptoms. Medication, medical considerations, lifestyle changes, and psychological insight are integrated into a cohesive, individualized plan.

Trauma Informed Throughout

Care is attentive to nervous system health and trauma history as a baseline orientation in every clinical interaction.

Collaborative Treatment Planning

Your values, your goals, and your pace matter. Decisions are made together and evolve as you do.

Beyond Symptom Management

The goal is not only stability but resilience, clarity, and a life that feels aligned. Symptom relief is the foundation, not the endpoint.

Solo Practice and Continuity

You will always see me. No rotating providers. Consistency is foundational to good psychiatric care.

Areas of Care

I work with adults experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, ADHD and neurodevelopmental differences, sleep disturbances, and other conditions recognized in DSM 5 TR. For complex presentations involving multiple co occurring conditions, my cross specialty training is directly relevant.

If you are unsure whether your situation is a fit, the next step is simply to reach out. I would rather have that conversation than have you wonder.
